Diehard fishermen and hunters from across the region can come inside to the great outdoors when the 28th annual Allegheny Sport, Travel & Outdoor Show opens at the Monroeville Convention Center. The show runs from Wednesday, February 13 through Sunday, February 17.

Produced by Expositions, Inc., the region's only show dedicated to hunting, fishing and camping will offer hundreds of exhibitors, dozens of live demonstrations, and many highly respected seminar presenters. With a non-stop schedule of experts, the program will wow attendees with some of sports' finest pros and biggest money winners.

“This show features all of the new gear for 2013 from fishing lures and game calls to high-speed bass boats to family RV pop-up trailers, exciting entertainment, and high quality hunting and fishing seminars from the experts who know those sports the best,” said Show Producer Chris Fassnacht.

Meet the stars from Wild World of Animals - Appearing on Leno, Letterman, Good Morning America! Visitors will be able to be up close and personal with exotic animals like: Nile Crocodile, Emperor Scorpion, Spotted Leopard, Spotted Hyena, 18 foot Reticulated Python, Albino Cobra, Short Eared Rock Wallaby, Spot Nose Guenon, Blue Monkey, European Eagle Owl and many other Birds of Prey!

The Indoor Trout Pond will offer novice enthusiasts the chance to practice their casting and angling.

Among local outdoor sports authorities, the Allegheny Sport Show is particularly noted for its hunting outfitters who hail from nearly every Canadian Province, and from Alaska to Africa. Sportsmen will also want to stop by to check out the rods, reels, lures, hunting gear, electronic navigational devices and other equipment that's slated to be on sale at some of the best prices of the season.
