CLEVELAND, OH (February 22, 2008)-The Cleveland Sport, Travel & Outdoor Show has supported the Boy Scouts of America for numerous years, offering Scouts free admission and exhibitor space to raise awareness about this outstanding organization.
This year's 3,000 square-foot interactive Boy Scouts exhibit is the perfect place for children and parents to discover the many adventures and lessons that scouting has to offer. Those interested in scouting will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with active scout leaders and learn how to become involved in this great American tradition.
During the 2008 Cleveland Sport, Travel & Outdoor Show, the Boy Scouts and their leaders will be conducting wood carving demonstrations as well as making homemade rope using toilet paper. Youngsters looking for an indoor adventure can maneuver across the Scout's rope bridge and tackle the obstacle course.
"The Boy Scouts are a tremendous community asset," said Chris Fassnacht, Show Producer. "The organization helps young people develop self-confidence and leadership qualities and have become a staple of this show. I'm so proud that the Cleveland Sport, Travel & Outdoor Show has been working with this outstanding organization for many years and hopefully for many years to come."
The Boy Scouts of America was incorporated in the early 1900s and currently serves nearly 4.5 million young people between the ages of seven and 20 with more than 300 councils throughout the U.S. and its territories. The Boy Scouts of America is the nation's foremost youth program of character development and value-based leadership training.
